Divine says that life is full of barriers and challenges. But she believes by having a positive attitude, will, determination, and by soaring high she will “gain good fruits”.
Divine first came to the WINS’ Bridgeland Family Resource Centre in 2007. She soon took full advantage of the programs and support that were offered, including parenting skills workshops, recreational programs for her son, and seminars on the different types of further education opportunities in Calgary. This resulted in her taking the Administrative Assistant program at Bow Valley College and led her to her current position at Alberta Health Services.
Divine also tapped into the wealth of information provided by the Facilitators, who referred her to various different community services to meet her needs, including the Calgary Food Bank and The Walk-In Closet.
